WHAT: You are invited to experience the vividly expressive mingling
of cultures, east, west, and in between as instruments, energetic beats
and peoples from across the globe coalesce. The event is symbolic of
the coming together of South Asian American and Middle-Eastern American
communities in light of the discrimination the respective communities
continue to face. In ArtWallah tradition, this concert is a truly organic
fusion of traditional and contemporary sounds, personal, cultural and
political struggles and celebrations. Proceeds benefit this year’s
ArtWallah festival, scheduled for June 26 – 29th at The Los Angeles
Gay and Lesbian Center’s Village.
